For Information : Campaign “Stop Cancer at Work”

Dear Members of the Trade Union Intergroup,

It was a pleasure to meet you on Monday to discuss the ongoing revision of the Carcinogens and Mutagens Directive (CMD).

As I mentioned at the meeting, a broad coalition of trade unions, professional organisations and patient groups has launched the “Stop Cancer at Work” campaign to ensure that the CMD revision ensure the inclusion of reprotoxins and Hazardous Medicinal Drugs in the Directive.

The members of the coalition are: The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), European Trade Union Institute (ETUI), European Public Services Union (EPSU) and European Biosafety Network (EBN) – with other partners including the European Federation of Nurses Associations (EFN), Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME), European Cancer Patient Coalition (ECPC), European Specialist Nurses Organisation (ESNO) and European Association Pharmacy Technicians (EAPT).

For further information, I encourage you to visit the campaign website at: https://www.stopcanceratwork.eu/

Best regards,

Pelle Hilmersson
