* : Save the dates & recharge during summer
Brussels, 18 July 2025
- To: Members of the Youth Committee
Dear comrades,
As we prepare for the second half of the year, it’s clear that the road ahead will demand all our strength and solidarity. The institutions are not on the workers’ side, and we must stand firm in defending our rights and pushing back against deregulation and liberal economic policies that continue to undermine social justice and equality.
We’re building on the important groundwork we've already laid — including the earlier victory on youth quotas — and now it’s time to make that space count and let young voices be heard in our movement. Our focus in the coming months will be to mobilise against unpaid internships and push for binding measures in the Quality Jobs Roadmap that can meaningfully reduce precarity for young people across Europe.
To support these objectives, the Bureau and Secretariat have put together a strong calendar of events that will feed directly into our work plan.
Please save the dates for the following:

Further details and registration links for all events will be shared in separate communications in due time.
Please also note that, except for the December Youth Committee meeting, all events are open to young trade union activists, workers’ representatives, and colleagues. If you cannot attend yourself, we strongly encourage you to share the information within your organisation.
We look forward to working together in the months ahead and to many rich policy and political discussions. For now, we wish you a well-deserved and energising summer break.
In solidarity,
