On behalf of the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), we warmly congratulate Nicolas Schmit on his election as President of FEPS (Foundation for European Progressive Studies). At a time when social cohesion, democracy and workers’ rights are under growing pressure, strong cooperation between trade unions, progressive forces and think tanks like FEPS is more important than ever. We look forward to working closely together to advance a fairer and more social Europe.
