24 March 2011 : European Day of Action in Brussels

Brussels, 21/03/2011

Several actions will take place in Brussels on 24 March, to say ‘no’ to austerity plans in Europe, no to cuts in wages and pensions, no to insecurity + unemployment, no to deregulation of labour standards and social regression, and no to rising social inequalities.

European trade union mobilisation will continue beyond the 24th, as a day of action is planned in London on 26 March and a Euro-demonstration will take place in Budapest on 9 April. Other actions will take place in France on 22 March, with the participation of German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB), in Spain on 22 and 24 March, in Germany with the participation of French trade unions on 24 March, and in the Interregional Trade Union Councils (IRTUCs).
