This major event, which is open to the press and media representatives, is organised in conjunction with the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU).
Europe’s trade union leaders will converge to discuss the need for a strong Social Europe for workers, and call for a radical change of course.
Against a backdrop of economic, social and political crisis the ETUC conference will hear concrete alternative policies designed to restore growth, tackle unemployment and build a fairer Europe.
The issue of rising youth unemployment and its social and political consequences will be one of the main topics of discussion during the conference. Are EU leaders doing enough?
The outcome of the conference will result in a message for the June European Council.
